Jamie Chung is Blink in X-Men TV Pilot
Jamie Chung, the actress who recurred as Valerie Vale on Batman prequel series Gotham, is crossing over from the DC to the Marvel universe as she has been cast as a series regular on another Fox comic book drama project from a yet untitled Marvel's X-Men pilot, Comicbook.com reports.
Chung will play Clarice Fong aka Blink, a fan favorite comic character from the Age of Apocalypse arc of the X-Men comics.
A mutant with the power of teleportation, Blink was created by writer Scott Lobdell and artist Joe Madureira, and first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #317 (October 1994).
The pilot focuses on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. It is written by Matt Nix and directed by Bryan Singer.
Clarice’s naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly ‘home’, Clarice is slowly becoming herself again.
Chung also plays Mulan on the hit ABC series Once Upon a Time and recurs in Hulu's Casual.
Looks like the mutants found their Utopia in Fox and hope it gets the green light for full production.
